Enlarged blood vessels are a common problem in both women and men. They appear on the face, cleavage or legs. At the beginning there is erythema, intensifying under the influence of emotions, temperature changes, etc., and then small, dilated capillaries appear. Enlarged blood vessels occur in clusters (less frequently). However, their high concentration on a small area can create a lasting "erythema". This is not only an aesthetic effect, the result of not treating this problem is, among others rosacea. Enlarged blood vessels on the legs may be a symptom of a vein disease, e.g. failure of the veins. Broken capillaries must be treated to prevent possible complications.

As the blood absorbs energy in the blood vessels, heat is generated and the vessel wall is destroyed. The blood vessel eventually dies, and thanks to the natural processes taking place in the body, the dead tissue of the vessel is removed from the body, disappearing just like bruises in a few days to several weeks. Reduction of dilated blood vessels takes place in a fast, highly effective way.

What is the procedure of laser closing of dilated vessels?

The Neodymium-yag laser emits light that affects living tissues. A polarized beam of laser light has strictly defined parameters (wavelength and power), which makes it possible to penetrate the skin and affect only specific tissues - in this case, the blood pigment - hemoglobin. The whole procedure is safe and does not carry the risk of infection and complications.

During the procedure, gentle burning sensation is felt, at the moment of pulse generation from the laser head. Immediately after the procedure the skin may be slightly reddened, swollen. These changes may persist up to 24 hours after the procedure.

The regularity of the procedure is very important. The best results are obtained after 3-5 treatments at an interval of 3-4 weeks.

How should you follow the procedure?

Due to the increased sensitivity of the skin after the procedure, factors that may irritate the skin, such as scrubs, chemical peels, should be avoided. Do not use the solarium, sauna or cryochamber. The treated skin should be treated with creams with a SPF 30-50 protective filter.

  • hormonal disorders,
  • increased exposure to UV rays (sun, solarium),
  • a bright skin phototype,
  • stress and unhealthy lifestyle,
  • frequent and sudden fluctuations in the ambient temperature,
  • long-term use of topical steroids.

Contraindications:

  • retinoid therapy (locally and generally);
  • photosensitizing herbs (St John's wort, calendula, horsetail);
  • photosensitizing drugs (antibiotics, steroids);
  • skin cancers;
  • photodermatitis;
