It can be successfully used without having to carry out skin tests. In the skin, this acid is a component of the dermal matrix of the dermis. Numerous chains of hyaluronic acid intertwine and cross each other, creating solutions with high elasticity and viscosity, giving the skin elasticity and cohesion.

In young people hyaluronic acid is in abundance, thanks to which the skin is elastic and no wrinkles. With age, the percentage of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases. Over time, the human skin ages, losing the ability to bind water, resulting in wrinkles. The metabolism of hyaluronic acid starts with the degradation of hydrolysis causing polymer breakage. The cofactors involved in the degradation process are ascorbic acid and iron compounds. Next, hyaluronic acid is metabolized by hyaluronidase to small fragments, in the final stage it is decomposed into water and carbon dioxide. Studies have shown that the half-life of natural hyaluronic acid in the body is 1-2 days.

The main characteristic feature is the binding of water in the body, can bind up to 1000 times more than its weight, can bind about 6 liters of water.
